He has completed his United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) steps 1 through 3, Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination parts 1 and 2, the Principles of Surgery Examination, Fluouroscopy: X-ray Supervisor and Operator Examination, the Specialty Examination for Urology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and the American Board of Urology Examination parts 1 and 2.

Dr. Horovitz has also performed clinical and basic science research, some of which was conducted at the University of Western Ontario, the University of Toronto and the University of Rochester Medical Center. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a diplomate of the American Board of Urology.
